Binh Minh Plastics has once again brought joy and happiness to the people of Vinh Long as it inaugurated the 5,100-meter-long clean water pipeline in My Thuan and Tan An Thanh communes, which began construction on July 9, 2024.

On November 21, Binh Minh Plastics held the inauguration ceremony of the clean water pipeline under the “Cherish Water Sources, Love the Future” project in Vinh Long Province. The project, sponsored by Binh Minh Plastics, was carried out in coordination with distributor Quang Tung, the Vinh Long Provincial Youth Union, the Youth Union of the Vinh Long Provincial Police, local authorities, and the support of the local community. Previously, the first phase was completed in early 2024, delivering 2,900 meters of clean water pipeline serving 78 households in Tan Thanh and Tan Luoc communes.

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Mai Thanh Ho – Standing Deputy Secretary of the Vinh Long Provincial Youth Union, representatives of the Youth Union of the Vinh Long Provincial Police, leaders of the Binh Tan District People’s Committee, local commune leaders, numerous youth union members, and representatives from Binh Minh Plastics including Binh Sai Gon, Binh Minh Long An, Binh Minh Binh Duong factories, the Investment & R&D Department, Marketing Department, as well as residents of My Thuan and Tan An Thanh communes.

Continuing the Journey of Love

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the clean water pipeline for residents of Tan An Thanh and My Thuan communes, Binh Tan District, Mr. Mai Thanh Ho stated that previously, locals had to rely on polluted canal and river water, which affected their health and daily life. Today, after decades of waiting, they finally have access to clean water. This is a remarkable achievement resulting from the collaboration between Binh Minh Plastics and local authorities, bringing joy and improving quality of life. According to him, good health is the foundation for economic development.

“We hope that in the near future, Binh Minh Plastics will continue to implement meaningful projects, contributing to economic development and improving living conditions not only in Binh Tan District but also in other communes in the province that face difficulties in accessing clean water,” said Mr. Mai Thanh Ho.

Throughout the dedicated days of the “Cherish Water Sources, Love the Future” project, Binh Minh Plastics visited provinces in the Mekong Delta with the mission to replace river water with clean water systems for local communities. Binh Minh Plastics’ community spirit is demonstrated through the cooperation between the company, local authorities, and residents. Specifically, in Vinh Long Province alone, in the last six months of 2024, Binh Minh Plastics sponsored 3,500 meters of pipe in My Thuan commune and 1,600 meters in Tan An Thanh commune, with a total sponsorship value of over 400 million VND, helping more than 114 households access clean water.

Welcoming the clean water alongside locals, Captain Ngo Bao Tin – representative of the Youth Union of Vinh Long Provincial Police – expressed great excitement at the inauguration. “Seeing the community having access to safe clean water truly moves me. This is something residents have long awaited, providing safe water for daily life, especially ensuring children’s health. It is invaluable that Binh Minh Plastics has partnered with the Provincial Police Youth Union to bring this meaningful project. We hope this will inspire more clean water projects for the community, spreading positive values far and wide,” he said.

Happiness Extended Through Clean Water

Mr. Tuan Khanh, a resident of My Thuan commune, was delighted to see Binh Minh Plastics bring clean water to Vinh Long. He shared that access to clean water has been a long-standing dream of the community. For over 30 years, people had to use polluted river water, affecting their health. To use the water, residents manually filtered it by letting impurities settle in large containers and using the cleaner water on top. This has been their daily routine for many years.

Despite the scorching heat, Binh Minh Plastics’ team diligently connected the pipelines to ensure clean water reached homes on schedule. Mr. Hoang Anh shared, “Having grown up using well water, I deeply understand the concerns of households lacking clean water, as water is an essential need. Knowing these difficulties, I feel a responsibility to act and contribute to Binh Minh Plastics’ ‘Cherish Water Sources, Love the Future’ project. Through this project, I believe people will enjoy better utilities, contributing to a meaningful and impactful story.”

Upon learning that her household would benefit from the sponsored clean water pipeline, Ms. Le Thi Nhung (My Thuan commune) was overjoyed, waiting from early morning to witness her long-held dream come true. She said, “All I ever wished for was access to clean water. River water is full of impurities, always worrying about its impact on health. Now with the clean water pipeline sponsored by Binh Minh Plastics, I am so happy! Thank you, Binh Minh Plastics, for bringing this precious gift to my family and the community.” Meanwhile, for Ms. Duong Thi Tien’s household (Tan An Thanh commune), since having the clean water pipeline, her family no longer depends on the often-failing water pump, making daily life much easier and more convenient.
