On September 13, Binh Minh Plastics, in collaboration with SCG Group and partners, implemented a series of activities under the project “Loving Water, Caring for the Future” in Quang Nam Province.
Previously, residents in Ta Bhing Commune and Hoa Binh Village, Quang Nam Province, faced a shortage of clean water, living in anxiety as their daily water sources were often contaminated with iron, making daily life difficult. To address this issue, Binh Minh Plastics partnered with SCG Group to implement a project aimed at improving the quality of life for the local community.
Mr. Asada Boonsrirat, Deputy General Director of Binh Minh Plastics, together with representatives from SCG Group, visited the project site to survey the works and meet with staff and local residents involved in the implementation.
Mr. Chaowalit Treejak, General Director of Binh Minh Plastics, shared: “As a leading enterprise in the construction plastics industry, specializing in the production of plastic pipes and fittings in Vietnam, and committed to the country’s sustainable development, we believe that bringing clean water to the mountainous communities not only meets essential daily needs but also improves health and quality of life. In particular, organizing the Green Mid-Autumn Festival for ethnic minority children is an initiative close to our hearts, helping nurture future generations and bringing joy to the children.”
The program was implemented with a total sponsorship value of VND 1.35 billion, including three main activities: the “Bringing Water to the Village” project in Ga Lee Hamlet, Ta Bhing Commune, Nam Giang District, Quang Nam Province; the handover ceremony of the upgraded water system; and distributing gifts at Hoa Binh Village along with the Green Mid-Autumn Festival for Co Tu and Gie Trieng children in Ta Bhing and Ta Poo communes.

On September 14, 2024, Binh Minh Plastics, in collaboration with SCG Group and partners, held the handover ceremony of the “Bringing Water to the Village” project in Ga Lee Hamlet, Ta Bhing Commune, Nam Giang District, Quang Nam Province. The project completed the installation of 3,000 meters of HDPE pipes within 45 days, thanks to the contributions of Binh Minh Plastics’ technical team and local community cooperation.
Mr. To Ngol Kia, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Ta Bhing Commune, stated that this area had been severely affected by floods three years ago, washing away the water supply system. Currently, local residents are very pleased as the project provides clean water for 240 households, corresponding to over 400 Co Tu and Gie Trieng residents, improving living standards and ensuring safety for daily life.
During the Mid-Autumn Festival, Binh Minh Plastics and SCG organized the Green Mid-Autumn Festival for nearly 1,000 Co Tu and Gie Trieng children in Quang Nam, featuring cultural performances, traditional games, lantern parades, and lion dances. Additionally, 1,000 gifts and 70 scholarships were awarded to children in difficult circumstances. The event involved over 100 personnel from Binh Minh Plastics, SCG Group, and partners such as VietinBank, Quang Nam University, distributors in Quang Nam like Long Hai, Thanh Khoa, Chien Hoa, as well as local authorities including the Nam Giang Red Cross, Ta Bhing Commune People’s Committee, Ta Bhing Police, and teachers, bringing a warm and complete Mid-Autumn Festival full of joy and laughter for the children.
The project not only provides clean and safe water for residents in Quang Nam but also brings joy to children during the Mid-Autumn Festival. This meaningful initiative by Binh Minh Plastics and SCG Group demonstrates a strong commitment to building a more sustainable future for the Vietnamese people.
