A GIFT TO EMPOWER THE RESILIENT FLOW, UPLIFTING EXAMPLES OF DETERMINATION

On December 3, 2024, joining the atmosphere of celebrating the 32nd anniversary of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Binh Minh Plastics continued its community journey by inaugurating the project "Repairing and upgrading the water supply system at the Ho Chi Minh City Vocational Education Center for Persons with Disabilities and Orphans".

The program is the result of the coordination of units such as: Binh Minh Plastics, SCG Vietnam, Phuong Hoang Distributor... This project not only brings timely and practical support but also helps students have a hygienic and safe learning environment.

Previously, through a survey, the toilet facility system at the HCMC Vocational Education Center for Persons with Disabilities and Orphans had shown signs of serious degradation. Many items were damaged due to exceeding their usage lifespan, frequently experiencing water stagnation and emitting unpleasant odors. Faced with that reality, Binh Minh Plastics and its partners quickly deployed a plan to repair and upgrade the entire water supply and drainage system.

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc (Chairwoman of the HCMC Association for the Support of Persons with Disabilities and Orphans) said: "Thanks to the timely repair and upgrade of the water supply system, the children will now have a better and more convenient living environment. Improved facilities also help ensure the children's health. On behalf of the Association for the Support of Persons with Disabilities and Orphans, we thank the affection and kindness of the sponsoring units who joined hands to support making the center increasingly perfect."

The project officially commenced on November 15, 2024, and was completed after nearly a month of construction with a total investment of about 220 million VND. The project integrates a high-quality water supply and drainage system and sanitary equipment. The space ensures ventilation, creating safe living conditions suitable for the usage needs of 27 disabled and developmentally delayed girls aged 16 to 22 in the dormitory.

"The toilet is clean and has enough water, so I feel very happy," shared My Dung (26 years old). Having lived at the center for nearly 4 years, she said that previously the old system was not like it is now, and the water usage was unstable. With the new domestic water source, she feels everything has become much more convenient. Looking at the radiant smile on Dung's face, everyone can feel the joy when seemingly simple things bring a big change to the girls' daily lives.

In the coming time, Binh Minh Plastics will continue to implement the "Cherish the water source, love the future" project to contribute to supporting localities that are still facing difficulties with clean water sources, thereby improving people's lives.
